I am passionate about promoting positive psychological adjustment for LGBTQIA+ individuals. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, you have many strengths.

However, you also face unique challenges, such as deciding if, when, and how to come out, finding a community that understands your experiences, and dealing with microaggressions or openly homophobic acts.

LGBTQIA+ children and adults have higher rates of mental health problems than their heterosexual peers.

Working with a therapist who has experience helping LGBTQIA+ patients through these and other common psychological stressors can be immensely helpful.

I am experienced in helping LGBTQIA+ patients navigate diverse stressors and mental health concerns, including internalized homophobia, dating concerns, anxiety and depression.

I draw from evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individual patients balance acceptance and change strategies in improving their psychological well-being.
