LGBTQIA+ Mental Health

We are passionate about promoting positive psychological adjustment for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, you have many strengths, but you also face unique challenges. These may include deciding if, when, and how to come out, finding a supportive community, and dealing with microaggressions or openly homophobic acts.

LGBTQIA+ children and adults have higher rates of mental health problems compared to their heterosexual peers. Working with a therapist who has experience in helping LGBTQIA+ patients navigate these and other common psychological stressors can be immensely beneficial.

We help LGBTQIA+ patients manage diverse stresses and mental health concerns, including:

  • Internalized homophobia
  • Dating concerns
  • Anxiety
  • Depression

Our team uses evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals balance acceptance and change strategies, improving their psychological well-being.
