I am a licensed clinical psychologist and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College.
In my private practice I provide evidence-based psychotherapy for adults struggling with a wide range of emotional difficulties, interpersonal problems, and life transitions.
My primary area of expertise is in treating adults with chronic medical illnesses.
I also have extensive experience treating women and LGBTQIA+ adults with trauma, anxiety and depression.
Education, Training & Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and my Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where I received extensive research and clinical training in evidence-based treatments for children, adolescents, and adults. My program of research is focused on designing, implementing, and evaluating psychological treatments for patients with chronic illness.
I completed my clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Cognitive Therapy Clinic of Weill Cornell, where I provided treatment to children and adults with a wide range of anxiety and mood disorders.
I completed a major rotation at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I conducted therapy with patients with cancer and their family members.
Prior to going into private practice, I worked full time as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Weill Cornell.
I treated adult hospital patients with diverse mental health concerns at the Collaborative Care Center and the Westchester Behavioral Health Center. I also provided individual and group therapy to women with perinatal mental health concerns through the Payne Whitney Women’s Program.
During the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic I provided mental health consultations to physicians in my role as the Psychiatry Liaison to the Department of Medicine. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, I remain an active member of the Weill Cornell community, where I provide teaching and supervision to psychology and psychiatry trainees.
